Sign PDF

Add a typed signature with date to any PDF page in your browser. Free, private, no upload. 5 positions, adjustable size. Free, private, in-browser.

How to use

  1. Upload PDF — Drop in the document you need to sign.
  2. Type Your Signature — Enter your name; it is rendered in italic Times font with a signature line.
  3. Choose Page & Position — Pick which page and corner the signature should appear on, then download.

The PDF Signature tool adds a typed signature with a date caption to any PDF page — perfect for quick contract acknowledgements, invoice approvals, internal form returns, and informal e-sign workflows.

What you get

  • Italic Times signature in dark navy — mimics a flowing handwritten look.
  • Signature line beneath the name, like a paper form.
  • Date stamp auto-added below ("Signed YYYY-MM-DD").
  • Five positions — four corners or centred.
  • Custom size from 14pt to 60pt.

How it works

Your typed name is rendered to the chosen page using pdf-lib with the embedded Times Roman Italic standard font. A thin horizontal line and a small Helvetica date caption are added below. The original PDF objects remain untouched — your signature is appended as new content on top.

Legal note

A typed name on a PDF is widely accepted for internal acknowledgements but is not the same as a certificate-based e-signature. For court-grade enforceability, use a service that issues an audit trail and timestamp (DocuSign, Adobe Sign).

Privacy

All processing is browser-based. Sign confidential offers, NDAs, and HR documents without uploading them anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a legally binding e-signature?

This tool adds a typed-name signature image — useful for informal acknowledgements, internal documents, and form returns where typed signatures are accepted. For legally binding e-signatures (eIDAS, ESIGN Act), use a dedicated certificate-based service like DocuSign or Adobe Sign.

Why italic Times font?

Italic Times Roman closely mimics the look of a flowing handwritten signature, while remaining a standard PDF font that embeds cleanly on every device without rendering issues.

Can I sign multiple pages?

Currently the tool signs one page per run. To sign multiple pages, run the tool repeatedly using the previous output as the new input — or use our PDF Merge / Reorder tools after signing each page individually.

Does my signature get uploaded anywhere?

No. The signature is rendered locally in your browser using pdf-lib. Nothing — neither the PDF nor your typed name — is transmitted to a server.
