How it works
Each source page is embedded as a vector form using pdf-lib's embedPages(), scaled proportionally to fit the grid cell, and centred. There is no rasterisation — text stays sharp and selectable.

The PDF never leaves your browser. All N-Up arrangement happens in JavaScript locally.
Frequently asked questions
What is N-Up printing?
N-Up arranges multiple original pages onto a single sheet — 2-up means 2 pages per sheet, 4-up means 4, and so on. Each original page is scaled down proportionally so nothing is cut off.
Will the text still be readable?
Yes for body text at 4-up on A4. At 6-up or higher, fine print may become hard to read — best for slide decks, presentations, or skim reviews.
Does this save toner and paper?
Yes. 4-up reduces paper use by 75%. Universities and offices use N-Up to save costs when printing slide handouts or course readers.
Can I change the paper size?
The output is currently A4. Use the cropping tool afterwards if you need to fit US Letter or other sizes.
