Scientific Calculator

Free scientific calculator with trig, log, exponents, parentheses, π and e. DEG/RAD toggle. 100% browser-based — no eval, no upload. 100% free, private,.

How to use

  1. Type or Tap — Type an expression or use the keypad — supports parentheses, functions, and constants.
  2. Choose DEG / RAD — Toggle degrees or radians for trig functions.
  3. Get the Answer — Press = to evaluate. History saves your last 20 results for re-use.

The Scientific Calculator handles algebra, trigonometry, logarithms, exponents, and constants — entirely inside your browser. No download, no ads in the result area, and no risky eval().

Features

  • Custom safe expression parser (no eval / Function).
  • DEG / RAD toggle for trigonometric inputs.
  • Constants π and e plus full function library.
  • Calculation history — last 20 results re-usable with one click.
  • Keyboard input or visual keypad — your choice.

Common uses

  • Students — homework, exam prep, lab reports.
  • Engineers — quick on-screen sanity checks.
  • Finance teams — percentage and power calculations.

Privacy

Expressions are evaluated client-side. Nothing is logged, transmitted, or persisted beyond your tab's local history.

Frequently asked questions

What operators and functions are supported?

Arithmetic (+ − × ÷ %), exponent (^), parentheses, sin, cos, tan and their inverses, log (base 10), ln, sqrt, abs, exp, floor, ceil, round, plus constants π and e.

Is my data safe?

Yes — every calculation runs locally in your browser. No network requests, no analytics on expressions, nothing leaves your device.

Why not just use eval()?

eval() is a security risk and allows arbitrary code execution. We use a custom tokenizer + shunting-yard parser, so only mathematical expressions evaluate — anything else throws an error.

Can I use scientific notation?

Yes — 1.5e3, 2.4e-7 and similar are recognised as a single number.
