SVG to PNG Converter

Convert SVG to high-resolution PNG in your browser. Scale up to 3× retina, keep transparency, set custom size. 100% private — no upload. Free online.

How to use

 1. Upload SVG — Drop any .svg file — we read width/height automatically
 2. Choose output size — Use the scale field for retina exports (2× or 3×)
 3. Convert & download — Get a clean, crisp PNG

Why Rasterise SVG to PNG?

SVG is the gold standard for icons, logos, and illustrations on the web — infinitely scalable and tiny in file size. But plenty of places refuse SVG: app stores, social media platforms, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, most printers, photo editors, and email clients. Rasterising the SVG to a PNG at the exact size you need solves the problem instantly.

Pixel-Perfect, Any Size

Because SVG is vector, you can export at any resolution without quality loss. Need a 1024×1024 app icon? A 2× retina header image? A tiny 16×16 favicon? Just set the dimensions and the rasteriser draws fresh pixels for that size — no blur, no jagged edges.

Transparent or Solid Background

By default the PNG keeps a transparent background, perfect for logos that need to sit on coloured surfaces. If your design assumes a specific background colour (e.g. a navy header), set a solid colour and bake it in so the file behaves consistently everywhere.

How It Works Under the Hood

The tool wraps your SVG in a Blob URL, points an element at it, draws the image to a Canvas at your chosen size, and uses the browser's PNG encoder to produce the output file. No third-party library, no upload, no server-side rendering — the speed and privacy come for free.

Common Issues

 • Missing fonts: if your SVG uses a custom font that isn't installed, the browser falls back to a system font. Convert text to paths in your editor before exporting to avoid this.
 • External images: SVGs that reference remote images via
will fail to render due to browser security. Embed as data: URIs first.
 • Filters & effects: most filter primitives work, but exotic ones (turbulence, complex blends) may render slightly differently across browsers.

Privacy

Everything happens in your browser tab. No upload, no logging, no analytics on file contents.

Frequently asked questions

Will the PNG look sharp on retina screens?

Yes — set the scale to 2× or 3× and the rasteriser draws at that pixel density. Because SVG is vector, the output stays perfectly crisp at any size.

Can I keep transparency?

Yes. Tick 'transparent background' (the default) and the PNG keeps an alpha channel. Untick it to fill the background with a solid colour.

What about external images or fonts in my SVG?

Browsers block cross-origin resources during SVG rasterisation. Embed images as data URIs and use system fonts (or convert text to paths) for guaranteed results.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The SVG is read, drawn to a canvas, and exported as PNG — all in your browser.

Why is my exported PNG blurry?

Your SVG probably has no width/height attributes. Edit the file to add explicit dimensions, or set the size manually before exporting.
