Run JavaScript online with a real console, async support and error line numbers. Sandboxed execution inside your own browser — free, private, and no signup needed.
An online JavaScript runner executes code you type and shows the result immediately. It replaces the loop of creating a file, opening a terminal, running a command and reading output with a single keystroke. For small questions — how does this method behave, what does this regex match, is my reduce correct — that loop is the entire cost of finding out.
Running untrusted code next to an application is dangerous unless the code is genuinely separated from it. Here, every script executes inside an iframe whose sandbox attribute grants script execution but withholds allow-same-origin. The frame therefore has an opaque origin and is treated as a foreign site.
Concretely: your script cannot read the surrounding page, cannot access cookies, cannot read or write this site's localStorage, and cannot reach any privileged API in our origin. Output crosses the boundary only as structured postMessage data, and each message's source is verified before it is rendered in the console.
The console captures log, info, warn, error and debug. Objects and arrays are serialised with indentation so nested structures are readable instead of collapsing to [object Object]. Functions are labelled by name. Errors show their stack when the browser provides one, and asynchronous output is appended in real execution order, which makes race conditions visible.
Intl, Date, URL, fetch, crypto.subtle, TextEncoder, structured clone.AbortController.Understanding the boundary saves time. The browser gives you the language plus web platform APIs. Node.js adds the file system, processes, native modules and server networking. Anything in the first group works here; anything in the second needs a local Node install. Most language-level questions fall in the first group, which is why a browser runner answers them well.
Log intermediate values rather than only the final result — the console preserves order, so you can see exactly where a pipeline diverges. Reduce a failing case to the smallest input that still fails. When something asynchronous misbehaves, log before and after each await to expose the real sequence. And when a loop hangs, stop the sandbox instead of reloading the page; your draft is preserved either way.
Execution, formatting and storage are local to your browser. Zubac Tools never receives your code, its output or any imported file.
